Blue HTC One launch reportedly in the works

A blue HTC One is reportedly in the works, with the Smurf hued handset seemingly set to land alongside the recently leaked red device.

Currently available in silver and black colour schemes, latest reports have claimed that a currently unconfirmed blue HTC One is being readied for launch with the colourful device to hit retailers at the same time as the red model which recently did the rounds in leaked for.

Citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter, PocketLint has claimed a blue HTC One is on the horizon, although it is still unclear what shade of blue the handset will take.

Failing to offer any further insight into the mooted device, the reports have suggested that HTC is still undecided on a blue HTC One release date or price although it is expected the coloured handset will not be more expensive than the current offerings.

Far from the first time HTC would have produced a coloured handsets, if launched it is believed the blue HTC One will retain the brushed aluminium finish of the current handset, adding the colour in a similar way to Apple’s latest iPod touch.

The main rival to the Samsung Galaxy S4 in the race for smartphone supremacy, the HTC One plays host to an array of high-end innards, with the handset’s 4.7-inch Super LCD display boasting a stunning 1920 x 1080p Full HD resolution and a 469 pixels-per-inch image density.

Powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM, the HTC One features list sees 32GB of internal storage present alongside Google’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS and the latest HTC Sense UI. With a 4-ultrapixel rear-mounted camera and a second, 2.1-megapixel snapper up front, the One is capable of shooting 1080p Full HD video.

Hosting a 2130mAh Lithium-polymer battery, the HTC One is rounded off by 4G connectivity options, integrated NFC and Beats audio innards further benefitted by dual forward-facing stereo speakers.
