BlackBerry Z10 release date coming January 30

Ahead of tomorrow’s BlackBerry 10 release date, new BB10 rumours have suggested that the first handset to come sporting the company’s new OS will launch immediately, with a BlackBerry Z10 release date tipped for January 30.

Following a number of BlackBerry Z10 leaks, which have seen the handset’s full specs and design prematurely outed, new reports of a January 30 BlackBerry Z10 release date have emerged with UK network provider Vodafone leaking internal documents which all but confirm the handset’s imminent arrival.

With the long overdue BlackBerry 10 launch have been hit be repeated delays, BlackBerry parent company RIM is seemingly keen to get its BB10 handsets into consumers’ hands, with leaked internal documents revealing a BlackBerry Z10 release date will kick off following the handset’s formal unveiling at 5pm tomorrow.

Although this 5pm sales embargo would mean that BlackBerry 10 handsets, such as the BlackBerry Z10, will not be on store shelves until the following morning, January 31, it is expected the handset will be available through online channels immediately.

“RIM are officially announcing BB10 on Wednesday, January 30,” the leaked Vodafone UK document reads. “We can sell BlackBerry 10 devices from 5PM on January 30.”

The photographed internal document, which suggested BlackBerry Z10 release date handsets could already be with retailers, adds: “No BB10 devices must be opened or sold before this time.”

Offering further details on the BlackBerry Z10 specs and availability, the Vodafone UK memo has revealed that whilst only a black BlackBerry Z10 handset will be available at launch, “a white version will be available from mid-February.” Furthermore, as well as confirming all BlackBerry 10 devices will support micro SIMs, the leaked document has revealed that the BlackBerry Z10 release date will see the handset land on pay monthly plans only with “BlackBerry 10 devices on PAYG [to] follow at a later date.”

On the BlackBerry Z10 release date pricing plans, the internal tipster has, speaking with the Verge, suggested that the handset will line up in company with the iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3 as a high-end wallet basher. According to the latest reports, the handset will be available on a £47 per month, two year contract.

BlackBerry Z10 Specs
Whilst the BlackBerry Z10 is not set to be officially unveiled until tomorrow, full BlackBerry Z10 specs were recently leaked in a selection of training materials with the first BB10 handset set to play host to a 4.2-inch HD display with a 1280 x 768p resolution.

With the BlackBerry Z10 release date expected to see the handset launch with 16GB of internal storage in tow, the BlackBerry Z10 specs sheet has been tipped to be bolstered by 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear-mounted camera with 1080p Full HD video recording capabilities and a 1,800mAh battery. A second, 2-megapixel snapper around front will also be present.
