BlackBerry Q10 launched with BB10 OS and QWERTY keyboard

BlackBerry has unveiled the first BlackBerry 10 handset that features a physical full QWERTY keyboard, the BlackBerry Q10.

Although BlackBerry has yet to reveal a full specs list for the BlackBerry Q10, the handset looks set to rival its full touchscreen sibling, the BlackBerry Z10, under the hood.

Appeasing loyal QWERTY BlackBerry fans, the BlackBerry Q10 will be the first BB10 OS handset to retain the physical keyboard along with a touchscreen.

Powered by the new BlackBerry 10 OS, the handset is rumoured to feature a 720 x 720p resolution and a 330 pixels-per-inch image density for a crystal clear display.

BlackBerry has confirmed the BlackBerry Q10 will have the 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB expandable internal storage of the BlackBerry Z10. The BlackBerry Q10 also boasts the 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front facing camera of its counterpart, offering great quality photography and video calls.

Other confirmed features include NFC, HDMI out and a removable battery.

Specs unique to the BlackBerry Q10 are to be released in due time, with the BlackBerry 10 OS device set to be a competitive alternative to the full touchscreen BlackBerry Z10.

BlackBerry Q10 Release Date and Price

The BlackBerry Q10 will be available in black and white, with Blackberry expecting the BlackBerry Q10 release date to be in April.

The BlackBerry Q10 price scheme is currently unknown, but BlackBerry has confirmed it will be available on 4G networks.
