Despite ailing sales figures, BlackBerry hasn’t given up on smartphones, and appears to have three new handsets in the works.
Images of the devices have appeared on the DTBlackBerry Weibo page (via PhoneArena), showing off potential 2015 smartphone releases.
The first device is the sequel to the BlackBerry Passport, and is being dubbed the ‘BlackBerry Oslo’.
Previous rumours have suggested this device will carry the same 1440 x 1440 1:1 aspect ratio display we saw on the Passport.
It’s also expected to use a Snapdragon 800 chip, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with optical image stabilisation, and a beefy 3,450mAh battery. This is tipped for a June 30 release.
Next up is the P’9984, which we know from previous BlackBerry smartphone names will land as the Porsche Design model.
The Porsche Design series is a range of BlackBerry smartphones co-produced by the carmaker. Unfortunately, this means the handsets come with a hefty price tag.

The final smartphone is being peddled by rumour-spinners as either the BlackBerry Slider or the BlackBerry Venice.
Interestingly, this device appears to have a curved edge display, just like the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.
This handset is expected to use a 5.1-inch 1440 x 2560 display, an octa-core chip, a 3,650mAh battery, and a 16-megapixel battery. It’s also got a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, hence the name.
All this points to a flagship smartphone, although it’s not yet clear when BlackBerry plans to retail the device.
