BlackBerry A10 to be called Z30, crops up in hands-on video
Previously known as the BlackBerry A10, the 5-inch BlackBerry Z30 has been shown off in a hands-on video.
The rather professionally made BlackBerry Z30 hands-on video clearly presents the heavily rumoured BB10 handset in all its 5-inch glory.
Coming courtesy of Vietnamese site Cellphone S, the video footage showcases the BlackBerry Z30 and its 5-inch AMOLED 1,290 x 720p resolution display with a 295ppi image density.
Following the design hues already laid out by the BlackBerry Z10, it seems the BlackBerry Z30 will take hints from the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One in terms of screen size.
From the looks of it, the BlackBerry Z40 will have a textured rear panel in the same vain as the carbon fibre BlackBerry Q10.
Although there’s no official launch date for the BlackBerry Z30 from the Canadian smartphone manufacturer, the fact that the smartphone already has an AT&T logo on the rear from the US network provider could suggest that the 5-inch smartphone will be unveiled imminently.
Other reported specs for the Z30, aka the BlackBerry A10, include an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 2-megapixel snapper in the front.
As for the processor, the Z30 is reported to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. That’s all powered by a 2,800mAh battery.
Tipped to run BlackBerry 10.2, the latest version of the mobile OS that’s attempting to boost BlackBerry’s position in the smartphone market, the BlackBerry Z30 will also be just 9.4mm thick.
The Z30 will also pack micro USB and micro HDMI ports as seen in the video, as well as Wi-Fi, NFC and DLNA connectivity support.
As soon as we have any more information on the BlackBerry Z30 we’ll let you know.
