Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has secured a fourth straight week atop the UK All Format Gaming Chart as the Activision title closes in on the Christmas top spot.

Becoming just the fourth title of the year to notch up a continuous month at the top of the UK Gaming Chart, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has followed both FIFA 12 and FIFA 13 to four consecutive weeks of chart success and remains one week off equalling LEGO Batman, which scored five straight weeks at the top earlier in the year.

Despite seeing a 15 per cent drop in sales, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 finished top ahead of the same top three as last week with Far Cry 3, despite an 8 per cent drop in sales, and FIFA 13, up 18 per cent, securing positions two and three respectively for the week ending December 8.

With pre-Christmas purchases seeing Just Dance 4 sales increase 54 per cent week-on-week, helping the Ubisoft launched dance title jump from sixth to fourth, fellow Ubisoft published release Assassin’s Creed 3 remained in fifth position. Lining up in sixth, Hitman Absolution ended the week down two spots on its previous performance.

Reclaiming traction in the gaming charts amid rumours of an upcoming Halo 5 release date, Halo 4 ended the week up two places in seventh, ahead of a resurgent Need for Speed: Most Wanted in eighth.

Rounding out the week’s chart positions, LEGO The Lord of the Rings closed out the early part of December in ninth which THQ’s WWE 13 saw a staggering 124 per cent increase in sales to help it rise five places to close out the top ten.

They still haven't fixed the issue of what you see in real-time on your screen with your eyes, in other words, the game you see and react to, IS NOT the same game you see on a kill cam replay. When you see an opponent and put at least 6 rounds on them (no flack jacket), only to have them fire once and drop you is so lame. Then on the replay, it shows that you only fired one shot... WHY IS THIS SO? Is it the fabled lag-switching? Is it lag compensation? It makes playing Black Ops 2 so frustrating as to just walk away. Why can't they (TreyArch & Infinity Ward) program this issue out of their platforms? Do they not care? It is not for lack of money/funds…
