Beats has cut the cord on one of its leading lines, introducing the Beats Solo2 Wireless headphones to the UK.
With the wired equivalent of the second-generation Solos, the Beats Solo2, having launched last June, the American audio giant has now scrapped the cables and introduced a wireless offering.
Said to offer an identical dynamic sound range and compact on-ear design as the standard Solo2s, the new wireless offerings have thrown Bluetooth connectivity into the mix.
With users able to skip songs, change the volume and answer calls with the Beats branded ‘B’ on each ear cup, the headphones’ wireless credentials allow for audio to be streamed from up to 30 feet.
For those prone to heavy audio sessions, or with short term charging memories, fret not, the Solo2 Wireless can be convert to a standard cabled headphone with the accompanying RemoteTalkTM cable.
“With fine-tuned acoustics for clarity, breath and balance, Solo2 Wireless delivers a complete listening experience,” an official Beats spokesperson said in announcing the latest model.
They added: “Regardless of the kind of music you’re into, its dynamic and wide range of sound will bring you closer to what the artist intended you to hear.”
Available from today, February 3, the Beats Solo2 Wireless are not going to be easy on your wallet.
Setting wannabe owners back a full £100 more than their standard, cabled, counterparts, the cans have been handed a hefty £269.95 price tag.
The premium headphones are available in four colour schemes at launch, red, black, white and blue.
