BBC Sport commits to 24/7 Brazil World Cup coverage

BBC Sport has committed to offering 24/7 Brazil World Cup coverage, including exclusive online content and interactive features.

The World Cup content will be available across the mobile apps for mobiles, tablets as well as connected TVs and online.

“From Manaus to Macclesfield and Rio to Rickmansworth, BBC Sport’s dedicated live World cup page will bring fans together and put them at the heart of the action,” explained the BBC in a statement. “It will combine all the BBC’s live coverage in one place, allowing audiences to access live video, radio and text updates wherever and whenever they want.”

Not only will you be able to watch live coverage of the game, you can choose from a selection of match commentary including BBC Radio 5 Live.

Match-day build up reporting will be provided along with comments from social media, email and text and BBC Sport are offering match stats and text commentary with automatic goal alerts too.

Although the BBC must share World Cup coverage with ITV, the Beeb will launch World Cup Breakfast videos to summarise the day’s action and provide a look at what’s coming up later that evening.

Classic matches will also be streamed via World Cup Rewind, if you’re feeling in the mood for some reminiscing.
