Battlefield 4 trailer teased through Vine video leak
Teasing the upcoming Battlefield 4 launch event, a new Vine video has appeared on Twitter, leaking details of the imminent Battlefield 4 trailer.
Tweeted via the official Battlefield Twitter feed, the teaser clip offers a six second preview of the soon to launch Battlefield 4 trailer, showing a smidge of gameplay content, and promising more details on the Battlefield 3 follow-on later this month.
Briefly brandishing the strapline “Prepare 4 Battle,” the new Battlefield trailer teaser shows rolling tank tracks and heavy focus on the number 4, suggesting that the EA published title, as well as sporting the moniker of Battlefield 4, could be set to land on the recently unveiled Sony PS4.
Looking to generate excitement around the upcoming release, the Battlefield 4 trailer teaser hit microblogging site Twitter alongside the announcement: “Straight from the video editing suite: Prepare 4 Battle – 03.27! This sneak peek now, more soon. (Please RT!…”
Earlier this month, EA confirmed that a Battlefield 4 release date would be confirmed at a March 26 launch event, making the announcement via media issued event invites. Set to be unveiled in San Francisco to coincide with the Games Developers Conference, the Call of Duty rival will be formally unveiled at 7pm local time (2am GMT on March 27).
Having revealed that Battlefield 4 will land for next-generation consoles, Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen recently announced: “I have seen the new Battlefield, and it is just stunning.” He added: “It is amazing what the imagination of the game developers are allowed to do with that much power.”
Although it has been suggested that due to the publishers lack of showing at the PS4 launch, EA will not offer Battlefield 4 for Sony’s next-gen console, Jorgensen has been keen to dispel such claims.
“It was more about timing of our own slate as well as trying to maintain a good balance of power will all the parties out there and choosing when to unveil certain pieces of software,” the EA head said at a recent Mogan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecom Conference.
“I’d say, between now and E3, you are going to see a lot of stuff, and we are going to choose with our marketing teams when to announce.
“At the end of the day we are very excited about Sony’s platform. We feel there’s a huge opportunity there. The technical power on the platform is going to allow us to do a substantial amount of things that have never been done before.”
