EA has announced the hotly-anticipated Battlefield 1 open beta will be made available from August 31.
Access will be offered to PS4, Xbox One and Origin for PC users, provided they’ve signed up as a Battlefield Insider by August 21.
The beta for the rebooted World War I sim will include the Sinai Desert map.
“From infantry skirmishes in the narrow streets of the village of Bir el Mazar to dogfights above the majestic cliffs, you’ll need to make tactical use of the dunes as you engage in explosive battles,” the announcement reads.
“When all hope is lost, reinforcements will arrive in the shape of a powerful Behemoth: a deadly Armored Train charging through the desert sands.”
There’ll be two modes available too. Conquest will feature up to 64 players fighting for control of key elements, either while driving a tank or on foot.
Also, there’s Rush, which features 24 players and requires the attacking force to destroy telegraph posts, to prevent the defensive force calling in air strikes.
The game itself will launch on October 31.
