Batman Arkham Knight PC “interim” patch coming August

Warner Bros has announced that it expects an “interim” patch for Batman Arkham Knight PC to land sometime in August.

Hopefully a patch to fix the major problems with Batman Arkham Knight on PC will arrive next month.

However, Warner Bros has said that this patch will target some, but not all, of the issues that are currently making the PC build of Arkham Knight near impossible to play.

The issues have been so bad that Warner Bros has had to pull sales of the game worldwide in retail shops and online.

News of the patch came via the Arkham Knight Steam page over the weekend.

“As an update, Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, Rocksteady and our partners are targeting an interim patch update for existing players to be released in August,” came the announcement. “This update will address many of the issues we listed in our June 27 update. We will provide addition details as we finalise that interim patch over the coming weeks.”

This announcement comes just days after a leaked email to an Australian retailer suggested the game would not be fully fixed until this autumn.

“We would like to thank you for your continued patience and invaluable feedback. We are continuing to monitor and listen for any additional issues and are driving towards a full update for everyone as quickly as we possibly can.”

Reports suggested that Warner Bros Interactive knew for a while that the PC version of the game would be riddled with bugs come launch, with the version only receiving a fraction of the QA testing afforded to the Xbox One and PS4 versions.
