Asus Transformer Pad TF701T tablet announced with 4K streaming support
Asus introduces the new Asus Transformer Pad Android tablet. Here’s all the details on specs, features and when you can get your hands on one.
After teasing us with a series of revealing pictures on its Facebook page over the last few days, the new Asus Transformer Pad TF701T is official.
The follow-up to the excellent Transformer Pad Infinity, the Android tablet hybrid features a 10.1-inch 2560 x 1600 WQGA IPS display promising 178 degree viewing angles.
Powered by a Nvidia Tegra 4 quad-core processor, the new Transformer Pad also packs a 72 core GeForce GPU making it primed for gaming.
Featuring the customary keyboard dock, connections include USB 3.0, an SD card reader and a HDMI output that supports 4K video streaming.
Other notable specs include a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera, 5-megapixel main camera and Micracast streaming, to send video to a HDTV.
In terms of staying power you can expect to get around 17 hours of battery life before reaching for the charger.
There’s no news on the pricing for the new Asus Transformer Pad or when we can expect a release date, but we will keep you posted when we know more.
