The seashell's siblings have come out to play, too.
I’ll skirt quickly past the not-a-netbook (s)argument(/s) as it relates to the 1101HA and instead get on to the key specs. Obviously that 11.6in, 1,366 x 768 pixel display is a dominant feature, with a 1.33GHz Atom Z530 CPU, 1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive present to support it; all running XP Home.
Three USB ports, Ethernet, Draft-N Wireless, Bluetooth, an SDHC card reader and a VGA output are pretty much par for the course. A claimed 9.5 hours possible power form the 6-cell batter, however, is definitely noteworthy.
The Eee PC 1005HA is likely to be a more familiar affair to those au fait with the 1008HA – the most noticeable difference being exposed, rather than recessed, ports. A 10.1in, 1024 x 600 pixel screen is present alongside an Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive as per the seashell Eee. However, unlike that in the 1008HA, the 6-cell battery is removable and purports to offer an impressive 10.5 hours of use.
All we need to know now is the release date and pricing. In the meantime, the following pages have more images than you could ever possible need available for perusal.
