Assetto Corsa delayed for PS4 and Xbox One

The console versions of racing simulator Assetto Corsa have been pushed back, 505 Games has confirmed.

Originally planned to launch on June 3, the game will now be available in Europe on August 26 and North America on August 30 for PS4 and Xbox One.

505 Games has given no reason for the delay, or why the console versions have been in development for so long.

Assetto Corsa first launched for PC back in 2014 via Steam’s early access programme. The simulator has been consistently praised for its fantastic visuals and realistic physics when navigating the track.

Having been in early access for almost two years, the developers have added a multitude of new features and updates to the game, which will all be present in the console release.

The PS4 version of the game is targeting 1080p/60fps, while Xbox One aims slightly lower at 900p/60fps.
