A strange Assassin's Creed Unity time anomaly trailer has been released ahead of its launch next month.

Ubisoft has released a brand new trailer for Assassin's Creed Unity, which is due out next month for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

It shows the game's hero, Arno, running through Paris as the simulation starts to crash around him.

"Assassin, watch out, the French Revolution simulation is crashing. I don't know what time period you'll land in, but you need to get out of there. Run!" screams a seemingly familiar female voice.

Arno is then transported into the Eiffel Tower, albeit in a totally different time zone - one with guns and air raid sirens, so potentially World War II.

It looks to be another elements to Assassin's Creed Unity gameplay, which we haven't yet seen.

Ubisoft already confirmed that Unity would not feature any "flash back memories" as in Assassin's Creed Revelations, so you'll be playing as Arno for the entirety of the game.

Assassin's Creed Unity is out on November 13 alongside the last-gen Assassin's Creed Rogue.
