Artic Blue Samsung Galaxy S4 launches as Phones 4u exclusive

A new Samsung Galaxy S4 option has launched in the UK, with the Artic Blue hued rendition of the flagship phone landing as a Phones 4u exclusive.

Available to purchase from today, July 26, the Artic Blue Samsung Galaxy S4 follows on from the standard black and white handset options made available at launch. It is one of five upcoming S4 colour additions formally confirmed during the company’s Galaxy themed launch event last month.

Having previously leaked in an S4 trailer, the Artic Blue Samsung Galaxy S4 was formally announced at the end of June, with today’s Phones 4u launch the first time the blue hued handset will be made available to wannabe owners in the UK.

Still to come on the Samsung Galaxy S4 colour palette, the Black Mist, White Frost and Blue Artic handsets will joined by a Mirage Purple, Aurora Red, Autumn Brown and Twilight Pink models.

“As of today, people of the UK can get their hands on the brand new Arctic Blue edition of the Samsung Galaxy S4 – exclusively at Phones 4u,” an official spokesperson for the high street retailer said in making the announcement.

The company added: “Customers can order the blue Samsung Galaxy S4 from the Phones 4u website and stores from today . The new smartphone is available from free on £37 a month contracts.”

Although featuring a newly coloured plastic shell, the Artic Blue Samsung Galaxy S4 plays host an identical array of innards as the original Samsung Galaxy S4 offerings.

Measuring in at just 7.9mm thick, the Samsung Galaxy S4 sees a vibrant 5-inch 1080p Full HD display with an eye-popping 441 pixels-per-inch image density feature alongside Google Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS.  Building on this market leading foundation, a 1.9GHz quad-core processor has been thrown into the mix alongside 2GB of RAM.

Completing the Samsung Galaxy S4 specs sheet, all colour variations of the HTC One and iPhone 5 rival see a 16-megapixel rear-mounted camera line up alongside a second, 2-megapixel forward-facing snapper.
