It’s practically a given that Apple is about to launch a brand new iPhone later today.
That theory is lent credence by the fact that the Apple store has just gone down, likely in anticipation of a new roster of products.
The company has a launch event scheduled for later today – at 18:00 London time – where we should see new Apple-stamped gadgets unveiled.
And every year before such a launch, the store goes down. That’s why it’s no big surprise that the website is offline for now.
When it goes live once again, we’re expecting to be chock full of new toys designed to pry cash from the wallets of gadget enthusiasts worldwide.
The headline launch is expected to be the Apple iPhone 6S, a successor to last year’s iPhone 6, and the ninth-generation entry to the iPhone series.
It’s also rumoured that we’ll see a brand new Apple TV, a second smartphone – the iPhone 6S Plus – and possibly a 12-inch iPad Pro.
Of course, Apple has kept details on its upcoming launch event under tight wraps, so we still don’t have official word on new products.
