Apple Watch Series 2 wins Wearable of the Year at #TrustedReviewsAwards 2016
The Apple Watch Series 2 has won Wearable of the Year at the TrustedReviews Awards 2016.
Apple’s second-generation Apple Watch only launched two months ago, but it’s already impressed us with its nippy Apple S2 processor, water-resistant design, and built-in GPS. Introducing massive improvements over the first-gen model, the Apple Watch Series 2 is an unquestionable success story for wearable design.
Fitness fanatic and TrustedReviews’ resident lifter-of-heavy-things-only-to-put-them-back-down-again Richard Easton had this to say: “The Apple Watch Series 2 is right now the best smartwatch you can buy. WatchOS 3 is a marked improvement over previous operating system versions and it finally makes using apps from your wrist more palatable.”
He continued: “With the Series 2, Apple also recognised what users wanted from their wrist-based wearables. It augmented the Apple Watch Series 2 with some serious fitness credentials that make it much more than just a mirror for your iPhone notifications.”
“In some respects, it’s a fully-fledged fitness tracker with GPS and heart rate monitoring in of itself. Really, the Apple Watch Series 2 could have won this category just for the adorable manner in which it maintains its impressive levels of water resistance by spurting water out of its little speaker,” added Richard.
We gave the Apple Watch 2 a 4/5 score in our review, praising its bright, beautiful screen, great fitness tracking, GPS functionality, solid battery life, and snappy performance. Here’s our verdict:
“The Apple Watch 2 might not look any different, but the refinements that Apple has made are all spot on. If you want a smartwatch that doubles as a solid fitness tracker then this is a fantastic option.”
