Apple’s talked plenty about Apple Music, but it hasn’t waxed lyrical on Beats 1 nearly as much as we’d like.
Fortunately, with just five days to go until the June 30 debut of Apple’s radio station, a flurry of information is now being revealed.
A new report suggests that Apple has got a host of celebrities and musicians lined up to provide content for its new radio platform.
One such star is Elton John, who’ll be commanding the microphone on his own “Elton John’s Rocket Hour” show, as reported in The New York Times.
Rapper-cum-Beats founder Dr Dre will also be manning the mic with an hour-long show called “The Pharmacy”. We’d imagine that’s not a reference to paracetamol.
There’s also going to be a combo-show featuring Pharrell and Drake as hosts, with the former planning an exclusive single for Apple Music.
Other roll-out shows include offerings from St. Vincent, Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age, Disclosure, and Will Smith’s rapper son Jaden Smith.

Earlier today, we also found out that Eminem will be the first of Zane Lowe’s interviews on Beats 1.
Unfortunately, early hands-on reports of Apple Music suggest there won’t be a catch-up service, so it’s not clear how listeners will be able to hear the interview if they miss it live.
Beats 1 will launch alongside Apple Music next Tuesday, and will be offered as part of Apple’s three month free trial.
