Apple reportedly dropping One to One tutorial program

Apple may be about to drop its One to One program, which helps newcomers become acquainted with their new iPhones, iPads and Macs.

The training program for consumers features a host of workshops and tutorial sessions at Apple Store retail locations and costs $99 a year.

The idea now, according to Macrumors, is to make room for more free workshops at the retail outlets, which would enable multiple people to attend.

The long running program available to those who buy a device entitles iPad, iPhone and Mac owners to have 30 to 60 minute personal sessions, 90-minute group sessions and 90 minute open training sessions.

According to the report Apple now plans to host workshops around themes like Discover and Create, while sessions will also be hosted on the company’s website.

The change will come into effect in the neat future, according to the report, with Apple planning to honour existing memberships, but won’t be selling One to One to new customers.

Apple is yet to comment on the reports.
