Apple puts its stamp on Beats with iPhone-matching Solo2 colours
Since Apple snapped up Beats last year, most of the talk has surrounded what the company will do with the barely-used music streaming service, rather than the uber-popular headphone brand.
Now Apple has made its first indelible mark on the hardware by adding three new colours to the range of Beats Solo2 wireless/wired headphones (via 9to5Mac).
Naturally, those colours are the iPhone, iPad, new MacBook and Apple Watch-matching gold, space grey and silver, complete with the requisite accents.
The new shades are available to buy from today, which just happens to coincide with the new MacBook going on sale and the Watch hitting pre-orders.
The wired Beats Solo2 headphones were announced in November last year with the ink barely dry on Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine’s $3 billion deal with Apple. The wireless, Bluetooth powered iteration followed in November 2014.
The wired iteration of the headphones start at £169, while the wireless equivalent is a full £100 more expensive at £269.

The Solo2 range was launched in red, black, white and blue, but now Apple fans with a penchant for colour co-ordination can match up their music player with their cans.
Thank heavens. We can all rest easy at night now.
