The issue, which has blighted some iPad Pro owners since the device went on sale earlier this month, can only be resolved by performing a hard reset.
Now Apple has issued a support document pledging to look into the flaw, while still recommending users continue with the hard reset to restore functionality in the meantime.
The firm writes: “To get back to using your iPad Pro, force restart it by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
“Apple is aware of this issue and is investigating.”
The issue is believed to be relatively widespread and is affecting 32GB and 128GB models (both Wi-Fi and LTE).
