Apple has launched the latest version of its iCloud website, complete with an iPad-inspired visual style and two new online apps - Notes and Reminders.

The new version of iCloud had been in beta since May, but it's now been released to the masses in time to sync up with iOS 6 (which launches September 19) for iPhone and iPad.

The site allows iCloud members to log on and access their synced contact from any web browser on any machine. These include Mail, Contacts, Calendar, iWork, Find My iPhone plus two new additions.

Notes and Reminders have now been added to the mix, giving you access to those memory-jogging scrawls from your iOS device. Update times are pretty snappy.

In keeping with this iOS-shadowing suite of tools, iCloud.com has had a bit of a visual overhaul. The visual language employed will be familiar to anyone with an iPad. Indeed, the main menu is a series of enlarged app icons - it's almost like you should be able to reach out and touch them.

Find My iPhone has received an additional tweak - 'Lost mode.' This hooks up with iOS 6 to allow you to lock your lost iPhone remotely, as well as to send a contact number to the device. That way if anyone finds it they know who to call to return it.
