Apple launches Mac Pro teaser for launch in “Fall 2013”

Apple has started showing its Mac Pro teaser at movie theatres across America, ahead of an autumn release date.

First shown off at WWDC 2013 earlier this year, the Mac Pro teaser trailer being shown now bears a release date tagline of “Fall 2013”.

When officially unveiled at WWDC, Apple merely stated that its new Mac Pro desktop computers would launch “later this year” rather than giving any specific time frame. Now, it seems the Cupertino company has narrowed that release date window to “Fall 2013”.

It seems that Apple is going to have a very busy release schedule this autumn, with iOS 7 and OS X Mavericks both already confirmed for release in the same period.

Apple should also launch its next flagship smartphone, the iPhone 5S alongside the heavily rumoured colourful, budget iPhone 5C.

We could also see the iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 launch this quarter as well, revitalising the now aging Apple range, especially when compared to the wealth of new releases from rival Samsung.

Mac Pro 2013 Features
The new Mac Pro will have a new cylindrical design tower, but only a fraction of the size of the previous professional desktop system at 25.1cm tall and 16.8cm wide.

Said to be 2x times faster than the current Mac Pro, the Mac Pro 2013 will come with up to 12 CPU cores, dual AMD FirePro GPUs  clocked at 7 teraflops and PCI Express-based flash storage.

It packs high-performance Thunderbolt 2 and new-generation Xeon processor, the Mac Pro 2013 will offer a vast improvement of its predecessor within a sleek new design.

Apple calls the new Mac Pro “the most radical Mac yet”. Perfect for creative professionals, it can render 4K video and packs a vast array of ports.

The Cupertino company is rumoured to be holding an Apple press event on September 10, so we could expect the new Mac Pro early next month.
