It looks like Apple is gearing up to refresh its range of iPods, as revealed by a new image found in the iTunes 12.2 update.
Once you’ve updated to the Apple Music-toting software, if you then plug in an iPod, you’re greeted by the aforementioned image.
Pictured are
There’s a dark blue iPod Touch, a gold iPod Nano, and a hot pink iPod Shuffle, suggesting Apple has new devices in the works.

It’s also worth noting that the iPod Touch doesn’t have a Touch ID fingerprint sensor in the home button. This may be a photoshop error, but it could also suggest Apple Pay support won’t feature in the next iPod hardware refresh.
Also, the iPod Touch pictured is running iOS 8 with Passbook, an app that was renamed to ‘Wallet’ in iOS 9.
This might suggest the new iPod will appear on the store before iOS 9 lands in autumn, or it could just be another photoshop gaffe.
Of course, it’s tough to tell whether Apple has genuinely slipped up here, or if we’re just looking at a bit of dodgy photoshopping. This one’s open to debate, folks.
