However, it’s not usually a road Apple would consider going down.
The company has been extremely cagey about sales of the Apple Watch, refusing to reveal figures since the device was released in April.
The company has claimed revealing the numbers would offer an advantage to its competitors, so has remained mum.

There’s no pervading evidence or feeling the Watch has been a flop, but Apple using a financial incentive to make it more appealing to customers is telling in its own way.
Clearly the firm can’t be entirely happy with sales so is experimenting with a new scheme in its Boston and San Francisco area stores until November 15.
