A selection of claimed Apple iPhone 5 components have been pieced together with those behind the reports suggesting they ‘fit perfectly’, further hinting at the iPhone 4S follow-on’s revamped form factor.
Whilst the mooted iPhone 5 parts are all far from official, latest reports have suggested that a leaked headphone port and heavily rumoured 9-pin connection dock have been slotted within a marginally thinner and considerable longer shell that it is said will host a new 4-inch display.
Although the widely expected 4-inch Retina display is not included in the makeshift iPhone 5 replicas, the snapped components have suggested the handset’s 3.5mm audio jack will move from the device’s upper panel to the base, lining up alongside the new, compact dock connector and larger inbuilt speakers.
The latest reports, which come courtesy of iResQ, has seen the Apple tipsters suggest that "all of the threading and screw holes lined up perfectly” on the selection of prematurely unveiled iPhone 5 components, adding a smidgen of authority to the rumours that have circled the web in reference to Apple’s eagerly awaited next-generation handset.
With Apple iPhone 5 rumours kicking into overdrive in recent weeks, the long awaited handset that is tipped to go head-to-head with the Google Android powered Samsung Galaxy S3 for smartphone supremacy is expected to be officially unveiled next month with a September 12th Apple iPhone 5 launch being widely reported.
In keeping with tradition it is expected that an official Apple iPhone 5 UK release date will follow some weeks after the handset’s formal unveiling with latest reports suggesting either a September 21st or October 5th release could be on the horizon.
Although far from confirmed Apple iPhone 5 rumours have hinted towards a number of the handset’s secrets with the sixth-generation Apple iPhone tipped to be heading to market with the WWDC unveiled iOS 6 mobile operating system in tow alongside an improved, possibly quad-core processor and the usual camera optics updates.
Whilst the frequently speculated 4-inch display is not shown off in the latest leaks, the oversized casing appears to confirm one of the most frequently rumoured handset components with Apple seemingly set to follow the trend for increasingly oversized handsets and make the jump from its current 3.5-inch iPhone form factor.
