Continuing a tradition that dates back to the release of Android 1.5 Cupcake, Google has placed a new monument outside its Mountain View campus to commemorate the upcoming release of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The placing of the statue, which consists of a giant Android android filled with giant jelly beans, coincides nicely with the Google I/O developer conference, suggesting the new operating system will get a full reveal there. the conference is taking place in San Francisco from today through until Friday.
We'll be reporting on the conference from 4:30pm today, bringing you all the latest on what Jelly Bean will have to offer, and anything else Google may be revealing.
