Amazon’s speedy Prime Now delivery service has finally made its way across the Scottish border.
Residents of humble Glasgow can now access Amazon’s Prime Now service, which provides one-hour deliveries on over 15,000 popular items. The service is available starting today in select Glasgow postcodes, including Parched, Shawlands, and Paisley.
To order, you’ll need the Prime Now app and an active Amazon Prime subscription. Then, for a £6.99 fee, you can choose delivery within one hour of ordering, or a choice of two-hour, same-day delivery slots between 10am and 10pm seven days a week. Some areas that don’t get one-hour delivery can still choose two-hour delivery windows, including: Motherwell, Kilmarnock, and Cumbernauld.
Amazon says that since its June 2015 launch, Prime Now is now available to more than 30% of the UK population. It’s currently available in the following cities:
- South Yorkshire
According to the US-based retail giant, one of the fastest Prime Now deliveries this month was Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End for PS4, which was ordered at 11:10am, sent out of Amazon’s hub in Leeds, and delivered at 11:20am to a postcode in Beeston – that’s an incredible 10-minute click-to-delivery time.
