Amazon appears to have leaked a new version of its Echo Dot speaker, which enables users to upgrade their speakers with Alexa voice commands.
In a tweet on Monday, the company announced a new model as almost half the $89.99 price of the original.
The now deleted tweet read: "Introducing the all-new Echo Dot. Add Alexa to any room — now for just $49.99."
Although the link redirected users to a page showing a sold out 1st-gen product, it would seem to confirm a newer model is on the way.
