Amazon Echo owners got an unscheduled sneak preview of Lady Gaga’s forthcoming album, which isn’t out until later this month.
Those asking the Alexa assistant to play Joanne by Lady Gaga, were able to hear a 30-second preview of each song on the album (via BBC).
These are the same 30-second previews Amazon enables users to listen to online before purchasing the songs.

So, it seems the tracks had been uploaded and hidden from the website ahead of the October 21 release. However, someone at Amazon forgot to tell Alexa not to play them yet.
The previews were only available in the US, where the device has been on sale for much longer.

The Echo and Echo Tap launched became available in the UK this month with support from partners like Uber, Fitbit, Spotify and The Guardian.
