Amazon.co.uk is closing its trade-in programme, meaning you won’t be able to exchange your old video games.
Previously you were able to trade-in a whole host of products, including video games, on Amazon UK. But now, the entire system is being scrapped.
Instead, users will have to sign up to Amazon UK as a seller to get rid of their old goods – or head to good old eBay we guess. Whatever you do, Amazon is staying well out of it.
“We are closing our trade-in programme on August 31st 2015. We will no longer be accepting trade-in submissions after this date,” said Amazon in a statement.
“You can submit trade-in items as normal up to and including August 31st 2015. No trade-in orders can be submitted online after the closure date. Please ensure your trade-in items are dispatched within seven days after your submission. Trade-ins sent after this time will not be accepted by us and will be returned to your address.”
“Note: All trade-in submissions sent via Royal Mail may take up to six business days to arrive before your submission is processed. All issued Amazon.co.uk gift cards will remain valid after the closure of our trade-in programme. As before, this will be subject to our gift card terms and conditions.”
