Agents of Mayhem release date announced for consoles and PC

Agents of Mayhem will launch on August 15 in the US and August 18 in Europe, Volition has announced.

From the studio that brought us the insane Saint’s Row franchise, Agents of Mayhem will offer a similar style of silly, over-the-top open world chaos we’ve come to expect.

Volition has also released a new trailer to celebrate its release date announcement. The ‘Bad vs Evil’ trailer provides us with a good glimpse at the eccentric world Agents of Mayhem has in store for us.

Set in a distant future where the “only hope for governments and global corporations … are a group of corporately funded super agents called the Agents of Mayhem,” Volition is creating what appears to be the spiritual successor to Saint’s Row.

Dedicated fans of the GTA-inspired series will notice a handful of easter eggs in the above trailer, including a select few characters and companies helping make up the world.

Agents of Mayhem will let you take control of three unique agents each with their own brand of weapons, skills and specialties. Of course, you can always carve your own style with bits and pieces found across the open world.
