Ads are coming to Samsung’s European Smart TVs

Samsung will reportedly begin rolling out advertisements to the homepage of Smart TV owners in Europe.

A Wall Street Journal report says the ads, which have already rolled out in the US, will appear on televisions in the EU this summer.

The new tile advertisements will appear alongside regular smart TV apps like Netflix, iPlayer and the like.

According to the WSJ, the ads are being ‘quietly’ added in order to boost Samsung’s ‘struggling TV business.’
