Adobe Premiere Clip makes debut on Android devices

Adobe has launched its basic Premiere Clip video editing app for Android phones and tablets.

The free application, which is a scaled back version of the classic desktop software, hits Android a year after it first arrived on its iOS devices.

It allows users to pull in videos and photos from their gallery, arrange them and trim them, while also adding sounds from their personal libraries.

Premiere Clip also enable users to add lighting effects, transitions and slow motion effects, while a single tap can sync the edits to the beats of chosen music.

It’s also capable of pulling in custom colour grading from the Adobe Capture app.

The app, which is more or less identical to its iOS counterpart, even allows for exporting to the full Adobe Premiere Pro CC desktop app.

Adobe is making this app free to download with the hope of luring mobile users to the full Premiere app for their desktop or laptop PCs.

The company has failed to pay as much attention to Android users as it does iOS, but it looks intent on rectifying that with the launch of Clip.

You can download Clip (via The Verge) to an Android device running Android 4.4 and up right now.
