Acer Liquid Jade and Liquid Leap coming to UK next month

Acer has confirmed the Acer Liquid Jade and Acer Liquid Leap will go on sale in the UK after an IFA showing.

These two products are both pretty innovative for Acer. The Liquid Leap is the company’s first wearable and the Liquid Jade is the thinnest smartphone in Acer’s portfolio.

The Liquid Leap will be available in late September for £79.99, but Acer is keeping stum on the pricing and exact availability for the Jade.

Acer Liquid Leap Features
Similar to other fitness trackers, the aim of the Liquid Leap is to monitor your activity. It is capable of tracking your steps, running distances, calories burnt and sleep times.

It comes with IPX7 certification, which means the Liquid Leap can be immersed in up to 1 metre of water for up to 30 minutes. That means you can comfortably wear it in the shower.

A 1-inch touch screen display is surrounded by a rubber wristband, which can be purchased in several colours. Acer claims it has a battery life of up to 7 days.

Connecting to your phone via Bluetooth, you’ll be delivered a variety of smartphone notifications on the Liquid Leap too. Plus, you can control your music played through your phone using the Leap too.

Acer Liquid Jade Features

The Acer Liquid Jade features a 5-inch IPS 720p HD display running on a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and 1GB of RAM.

Internally you’ll get 8GB of storage, but you’ll be able to expand that via microSD card. It is powered by a 2100mAh battery and you’ll get Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 LE connectivity.

The Liquid Jade has a 13-megapixel rear camera with auto focus, f1.8 aperture and an LED flash. This is paired with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

Sadly, the Liquid Jade only supports 3G, but it does come with the latest Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.
