Determined to fill every incremental number gap between its product ranges Blackberry has announced the 'Curve 8310' and it's coming to the UK courtesy of Vodafone.
Sitting - rather logically - just above the 8300, the 8310 brings one major addition into the Curve's arsenal: GPS.
Being the (occasionally) helpful chaps that they are, Vodafone will augment this new feature by bundling its own brand Sat Nav programme - powered (read: did all the hard work) by Telmap - with the handset and also running a competition for all new owners to win a ride in the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren with none other than Formula One wonder kid Lewis Hamilton.
Can anyone say white knuckle ride?!
Back to the handset and elsewhere you'll also see the 8310 has a 2MP camera, QVGA display, quad band support, Bluetooth 2.0 and a multimedia player. In addition Vodafone is throwing in a free 12 month subscription to its/Telemap's Sat Nav software.
The 8310 goes on sale from 3 September and will be held exclusively until 31 October. If you're impatient for RiM's latest and greatest Curve... welcome to Vodafone!
