Like paparazzi around the latest brain dead celebrity rich girl it could be argued we have more than enough printers buzzing around us to never feel the need to see another. Much like the next News of the World front page, however, that doesn’t stop them vying for our attention.
Thankfully, the latest offering from TallyGenicom makes rather more useful headlines than this superficial herd of bulimic peroxide blondes. The 8026DN is an uber-fast colour laser printer capable of churning out first pages in less than six seconds and handling an average workload of 90,000 pages per month.
Furthermore warm up time is just 30 seconds and compact flash and Microdrives can be added for secure printing via a PIN code whilst ‘Intelliprint’ is a TallyGenicom technology inside the 8026DN which enables migration from Line or Dot Matrix printers without additional server software.
A whopping maximum paper capacity of 2350 sheets means anytime you get the urge to randomly print out Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment you’ll be well catered for and remote management is helped along via an embedded web server and features such as duplex printing. The 8026DN is available this month for £735 and comes with a 150 sheet multipurpose tray and standard 550 sheet paper tray. A variation called the 8026DTN comes fitted with a second 550 sheet paper tray and will retail for £919.
Responsible journalism aside, I guess it is time to get that copy of News of the World and read what new high jinks those bubble headed inheritance vultures are getting up to. Anyone got rubber gloves so I can pick one up?
