Toshiba Partners With Star Trek Film

With the latest Star Trek film hitting silver screens (including IMAX! -Ed) near you this Friday, Toshiba has announced a partnership with Paramount to bring you all kinds of Trek-related goodies via a special microsite.

The headline prize is a trip to Las Vegas and a chance to experience the weightlessness of space for yourself aboard the Zero-G Experience - a specially modified airliner that performs a series of parabolic arcs, allowing you to bounce around the padded fuselage like a true space cadet.

Toshiba will also supply the winner with a bunch of other prizes, including a special flight suit. With a total prize value north of £4,000 it's certainly not to be sniffed at. The only catch is you have to buy a Toshiba product before 31 May and register your serial number to enter, so now might be a good time to think about that Toshiba Regza 46ZV555D 46in LCD TV you've been dreaming about.

If you haven't got the gold-pressed latinum to stretch to a new telly, £15 is all you need to bling your laptop with one of three different Limited Edition Star Trek Lapjacks.

These can be applied to and, apparently removed from, any laptop without leaving any residue. Although why you wouldn't want a Star Trek logo on your laptop is beyond me. Resistance, as they say, is futile.

Is there a reason why all the credits splerg is on the bottom of the laptop image? You would think that they would get the proper image rather than just cropping a poster.

@ jopey - I highly doubt that's a press shot. At least I hope it isn't...

Perhaps it belongs in TR's 'My First Photoshop' album. Is that why no one could bring themselves to put their name on the article ;)

But that cover is cool - I collect movie posters, which include the credits. It's part of the movie collecting experience. I see I can buy any Toshiba product to enter the competition.....does that include a £4 mouse I wonder....

They've all got copyright notices on them... that blew any chance of anyone buying them.
