With only six shopping weeks left to Christmas, children and parents alike will be eyeing up what they are going to be purchasing for the festive season. Given the times we live in, budgetary constraints are going to play a more important role than ever.
Even with that in mind, we were taken aback with the news that T-Mobile are offering the Vibe - a touchscreen phone with a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard - for £31.99. No, we’re not missing a one before the three, the phone only costs £31.99.
So there must be a long 24-month contract we hear you ask? Nope. It’s on pay-as-you-go and only requires a £10 top up on purchase. Oh and there’s free delivery from the T-Mobile website – and 30 days free unlimited internet use.
Built for T-Mobile by ZTE, the Vibe is cleared aimed directly at teenagers who want to update their Facebook status quickly and easily but don’t have hundreds of pounds to spend on an iPhone4. “The T-Mobile Vibe reinforces our commitment to delivering the best quality handsets to our pay-as-you-go customers,” a spokesperson for T-Mobile said.
The Vibe, weighing 95g, has a 2.8in touchscreen, a 2-megapixel camera, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, an FM radio, media player, Bluetooth and a 2GB memory card. The units come in either black or pink and are available on the website.
