The headline of this story says it all really, but the message is worth reiterating. Sony has revealed that the popular PS3 downloadable game flOw is swimming its way over to the PSP. flOw is pretty much exactly the kind of game the recently opened PC-based PlayStation store was intended to sell, so the only real downside is that we'll have to wait until the 6th of March to get our hands on the dratted thing.
Still, once that date arrives flOw's developers, SuperVillain Studios, promise that the game mechanics will remain preserved from the PS3 version - although the control method is obviously changed. Arguably using an analogue stick to control the directing of motion as opposed SixAxis tilt controls, as used on the PS3, is an easier way of doing things.
Speaking as an owner of flOw of the PS3, I do question how wise it may be to port what is probably the most addictive arcade-style game I have ever played onto a portable device. Assuming the quaint charm is preserved on the PSP I can see many an hour on the train sacrificing itself to the quest to eat lots of little floating blobby things. When the 6th of March arrives do not consider buying this, just do it.
