The difference in model numbers - and price - is reflected in the two printers' output, 43ppm for the DX-B450P and 34 for the DX-B350P. A 40GB hard drive can be fitted, enabling documents to be stored by the printer for direct printing; with the option to require users to enter a pin code before printing is allowed. Direct PDF printing from a storage device is also supported.
Print resolutions up to 1,200dpi are supported and both the have a time-to-first-print of eight seconds, paper supplies expandable to 1,800 sheets with one 150 sheet and one 550 sheet drawer provided as standard.
Both printers also feature Email Alerts whereby - as the name rather betrays - the devices will fire off an email should an error occur. Optional extras include a Duplex Module, for double-sided printing, and an Offset Catch Tray, for separating out multiple print jobs when output at simultaneously.
If you fancy a DX-B450P or DX-B350P then you'll be looking at MSRPs of £995 or £860 respectively for the privilege.
