While the HTC TyTN (and its imminent successor, the Kaiser) remain my favourite smartphones to date, our venerable editor has a particularly soft spot for the HTC S710 and it is this model upon which Samsung is about to throw down a whole load of hurt...
Part U600, part Blackberry, the 'i570' (revealed by mobil mania) looks extremely stylish and with HDSPA, WiFi and pocket friendly dimensions of 96 x 60 x 16mm and a weight of just 123g it could be the company's next big seller.
Filling out the feature set is a 320 x 240 QVGA screen, 2MP camera and second front mounted VGA camera for video calls along with Bluetooth connectivity and a microSD expansion slot. Also, interestingly, Sammy has chosen to go with a Symbian 9.1 OS rather than Windows Mobile 6 which should mean greater stability.
With Samsung yet to officially confirm existence of the i570 there certainly isn't any release date and pricing info at this stage but it looks like a Q4 cert to me and a highly desirable one at that.
mobil mania - If your Slovakian is good (or, indeed, you are Slovakian) let me know if you weed out any more features ;)
