We don’t want to second guess what Samsung’s people were up to at CES a couple of weeks ago, but if the names of a couple of its new phones are anything to go by, then they could have been sampling the delights of the blackjack tables in Las Vegas.
Images of what are called the Samsung Galaxy Suit and the Galaxy Ace have been published online having been found in a mobile retail catalogue before the phones have been officially unveiled. Indeed the Galaxy Ace (below left), or the S5830, looks a lot like what had been previously known as the Galaxy S Mini - in other words a slimmed down version of its hugely successful Galaxy S.
The Galaxy Suit (above right), or the S5670 to give it its official title, looks to us a lot like the Galaxy Europa and again looks like it fits into the more affordable category of Galaxy phones from Samsung.
Specs for both these handsets are a little thin on the ground though we believe both will run Android 2.2 (Froyo) out of the box. We can expect a decent rear camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro-USB and a micro-SD card slot if we are to go by previous Galaxy models. As for arrival, both these phones will most likely be unveiled at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month, where we will be in attendance. So keep your eyes peeled for details then.
