As anticipated the Sony Ericsson trio of handsets we brought you last week have now all been officially unveiled.
King of the hill is undoubtedly the C905 - the first 8.1 megapixel handset to hit the UK. Rather predictably appearing as the new flagship in the Cybershot line, the C905 backs up its high resolution photography with autofocus, smart contrast and image stabilising technology (call it the ‘anti-iPhone 3G'). A 2GB Memory Stick Micro (M2) card will be bundled in the box.
Ticks all round for the leaked info too since the 2.4in QVGA display, HSDPA and TV-out connectivity, A-GPS, Bluetooth with A2DP, WiFi and chunky 104 x 49 x 18mm dimensions and 136g weight were also on the money.
Next come the ‘F305' and ‘S302' (remember them?) and there are no surprises with the duo sporting two megapixel fixed focus cameras, EDGE connectivity, Bluetooth and audio playback (MP3 and AAC codecs). Resolutions are limited to teeny 2in 176 x 220 displays but you will at least get motion-based gaming with the accelerometer inside the F305.
Three pre-loaded titles will take advantage of this out the box with ‘Bowling', ‘Bass Fishing' and ‘Jockey' fairly descriptive (though please pay attention to the nearby locations of your fellow man). More will be made available for download at a later date.
The C905 will appear in Q4 with the F305 and S302 launching in Q3. Something for everyone, that is if you're camera or Wii obsessed... or broke.
