Philips Launches Dual Screen Blu-Ray Player For Cars

by | Go to comments

Not content with mere DVDs to entertain the children on your next holiday drive? Philips now has you covered with its new PB9011 Blu-ray player that sports not one but two screens.

The two 9in LCD panels sport a 16:9 widescreen format and you can get up to three hours of playback from the pair or 5 from a single screen. Format support is decent with DVD, DivX, MP4, H.264, FLV, MOV and WMV all available. With USB sockets available you can also playback files from sources other than the built-in disc drive.

A long cable joins the two, so you should be able to route it round your car without too much issue. There's also an HDMI socket so you can hook it up to your TV and playback in glorious HD. You can pick one up from April for $349.99.

If you don't feel the need for two screens you could opt for the PB9001 that sports the same basic features but without the second screen. It's available for a mere $279.99.
