Perstel Extends DAB Radio Range

Following the likes of Pure Digital and more recently Sony, Perstel has launched a DAB kitchen radio called the DR-601 delivering further proof that 2004 is the year of digital radio.

The DR-601 is a sleek silver looker that manages to combine retro style with futuristic chic. Despite its fifties look, moving between stations is done by a simple press of a button rather than by using a dial.

The DR-601 has a number of features such as a 100 preset memory, a built-in alarm clock, and a six-line LCD screen for displaying the latest programme information. There’s also a headphone socket for quiet listening and a line-out for connection to a hi-fi.

The radio can also pick up FM signals when DAB isn’t available and is both mains and uses six batteries that can deliver up to 30 hours of listening time.

The Perstel is available from usual consumer retail outlets for an RRP of £119.
