Panasonic has announced a new line of TVs with the focus firmly on design. Dubbed the Viera Pure Line, the company is highlighting the range’s striking colours, rather than its specifications, to pull in the punters.

There are three colours on offer - shiny purple, satin silver and silky white, though Panasonic claims that thanks to a luminescent finish the colours will appear different depending on the room lighting.

The Pure line is available in four sizes, 19in, 22in, 32in and 37in. The two larger models feature Panasonic’s Viera Cast web interface bringing web access and Skype capability, as well as built-in Freeview HD and Freesat tuners, while the smaller two sport iPod docking stations. All models feature edge LED backlighting.

Prices start at less than £400 for the already reviewed TX-L19D28, £549 for the TX-L22D28, £1,149 for the TX-L32D28 and £1,249 for the TX-L37D28.
