Orange Releases First Solar-Powered Bluetooth Headset

Orange has been getting eco friendly as of late and we can support that - especially when it's convenient.

To this end Orange has bought the rights to exclusively distribute the world's first solar powered Bluetooth headset in the UK. Made by iqua, the '603 SUN' features a exterior solar strip which charges the device any time it can catch direct sunlight - yes, even during use.

Unlike so many solar powered products, battery life is impressive too with conversations held in direct sunlight able to last for a whopping 12 hours. Even in darkness the 603 SUN manages nine hours and lasts up to 200 hours on standby.

As for functionality, it couldn't be more straightforward: making, receiving and ending calls as well as use of the voice dialling function all work using a single button. Meanwhile, the 603 SUN is remarkably light (no pun, sadly, intended) at just 14g so do remember which pocket you put it in or you'll be patting yourself down to find it.

Perhaps best of all the 603 SUN costs just £49.99 so we can save the planet, kiss the otters and fondle the trees on a budget. Orange's exclusive deal lasts for three months and with an immediate launch, starts now.

Go eco-warriors, go!
