Nokia X7-00 Spotted on Video

Well, well, well. Could it be that a video of the Nokia X7-00 has been leaked on YouTube? While we are used to getting hastily-taken, blurrly, almost unrecognizable images of forthcoming phones, it is rare that we get a nice 90second video of a phone with Need for Speed Shift running on it.

We have to say we were very impressed with the look of the phone which follows on from the X6 and X3 in the multimedia/smartphone X-series from the Finnish manufacturer. Not to be confused with Sony Ericsson’s soon-to-be-released Xperia X7, the phone in the video is running Symbian^3 and although it seems a little sluggish, this is no doubt due to the fact that the handset is not fully finished as of yet.

The design features four speakers, which will no doubt help boost the phone’s entertainment credentials, as well as a 4in touchscreen and an 8-megapixel rear camera. The phone’s design looks pretty nice with all four corners tapered, giving it a compact look despite the sizeable 4in screen.

With the mixed reaction to its flagship smartphone, the N8, Nokia will no doubt be looking to impress with its next release and from what we’ve seen in this video, then the X7 could be the phone to do it.

That looks like the same 640x360 res, but now stretched out to a 4 inch screen.. what an innovation.

I'm a huge fan of Nokia phones, but it's products like this that further my sense of disappointment in Nokia. Are the four speakers the only difference between this phone and the C7? Although, I do prefer this design to the C7. :)
